Healing with Gongs
Broder Oetken’s gongs are hand-crafted pieces of art. Oetken has previously crafted gongs for Meinl, Oliver Hess, and Paiste, and has now focused his work on his own series of sonic healing instruments. His gong-making process is incredibly exacting, and involves pouring, hammering, smoothing, tuning, and polishing/decorating. Each gong can take up to 150 individual hammering sessions to complete. The results of this meticulous and loving work are incredible, resonant instruments whose sound produces a feeling of vibrational transcendence.
